Kermit Knuppenburg

Kermit lived about a quarter mile away from me for like half of my childhood, but we never really became good friends, which is unfortunate because he's a really cool dude.  I actual have a pretty good memory with Kermit though that took place some time during middle school I think when a group of guys went over to his house and shot each other with air soft guns on his yard, ha.  It was just a bunch of neighborhood kids doing stupid shit but hey, its memories like that that make me glad I had a cool neighborhood.  In high school I remember Kermit doing some great work on the student news.  Unfortunately his segment and mine aired on opposite weeks so we didn't get to collaborate, which is a bummer because our segments together probably would have been pretty good.  Kermit also wrote a song about Nick Emming after he moved away, Where Are You Nick Emming? I think was the name of it, which was pretty damn good.  Kermit writing a song about his friend who he missed was just proof of how good a guy Kermit was.

I'm not sure what he's up to today, but there's little doubt he's doing well.

Cheers,

Andrew
