I met Faz during my freshman year at MSU when we were suite mates in the dorms and I can honestly say I liked him from the beginning. He stands for a lot of different things and he is able to defend them, which is something that I appreciate in a person regardless of whether or not I agree with them.
A great memory that I have of Faz is during Freshman year when somehow us and a few other guys on the floor got in the middle of a political talk with the election coming up. I usually hate talking about politics because there is always a divide and most people who want to talk about politics are shortsighted assholes who have no ability to look at a situation from the opposite viewpoint, but this conversation was one that I actually enjoyed. Faz and I both had the same opinion on a situation and we had a great debate over a bunch of nonsense things which we'll never have any real influence on. There have been numerous times where I've had more fun with Faz, but I think this is one of those times when I really got to know who the kid really was. I liked that.
I've had some good times with Faz. Hell, we even caught a shark together, so I think even if we lose touch in the future, Faz will be always be one of those guys who I have a great time with whenever I see him.
